At the call of the wild swans, a young girl begins a quest to find her lost brothers.
Wild Swans is inspired by an ancient folktale retold by the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson and most recently by contemporary author Starhawk. It's the beautiful and soulful story of a young girl and her journey to find her lost brothers. Upon discovering that they have been transformed into swans, she sets off on a difficult journey, enduring many hardships in order to return them to their human form and welcome them back into her life.
Using the tale's rich and deep imagery, this production explores the mysteries of nature and rites of passage. A true old-style puppet show, this performance will combine original music with rod puppets, folk marionettes, masks and giant puppets, creating the look of a children's "pop-up" story book.
