Visit the cardboard city where Giant Bikes Chase Cars, Grass Breaks Concrete, and Skyscrapers Fall in Love. Be dazzled by the Dance of the Satellite Dishes, jeer the Tree-eating Highway Machine, and listen for the Duet for Songbird and Cell Phone. And in the midst of it all, an eccentric named Somebody will quietly collect the odds and ends, piecing together the most unlikely vehicles.
Through visual landscapes and puppets based on the sketchbooks of Duane Tougas, the poetry of spoken-word slam champion Thien-Bao Phi, funky, live music and some unusual uses of scaffolding, we'll show the urban circus full of all its chaos, splendor, noise, and moments of surprising beauty.
