Voices for Peace presents THE TIME IS NOW!

A fundraiser concert for In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre’s production of QUEEN.

Friday, September 9th at 7.30pm

Voices for Peace is an all-women’s choir celebrating its 10th year.  Formed to connect music and a quest for peace and justice, the choir is a vehicle to inspire and encourage others to live more peacefully and to work in their own ways to further the causes of justice and peace.

“We are excited to be doing a benefit concert for In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater that has a long history of ‘bringing  people together for the common good’.  Please join us, along with our co-sponsor, Grandmothers for Peace Twin Cities, as we celebrate and renew our common commitment to peace, justice and humanity”.

All funds will go towards the development of QUEEN, premiering on September 23rd, 2016. QUEEN tells the story of a grandmother who suffers the loss of a grandchild, navigates grief, and retrieves memory – sharing it in a new world run by, loved by, kept whole by a solidarity of grandmothers. After a long, challenging summer, HOBT will be be presenting this work which has been developed in direct response to recent violence.
