Puppet Cabaret: Brave the Cold Anyway

Puppet Cabaret: Brave the Cold Anyway

In the Heart of the Beast

***With ASL interpretation***

With the cooler temps and darker days, HOBT’s January Puppet Cabaret explores the winter seasonal shift. Like the caterpillar enters its cocoon, our instinct as the weather cools is to turn inward. We wrap ourselves with warmth, comfort, and avoidance of evening social events at all costs.

Experience an evening of new works that explores that inward instinct, with the brilliant effervescence of puppetry that inspires us to brave the cold anyway. Make your way over to HOBT and warm-up with waffles, live music, and community.

Hosted by Akiko and The Woppits (Theresa Linnehan, Caitie Ryan-Norton, Alexandra Young, Laura Korynta)

Performances include:
Dolores by Katie Kaufmann
Little Flower by Renae Bonde
Clutter Forest by Thomas Boguszewski
Bike vs. Blanket Monster by Helena Howard
ISLE d PLASTIQUE (2 scenes) by The Woppits

The Woppits are an arts collective supporting womxn-identified artists by providing space for artists to discuss their projects and process and receive feedback in a supportive environment. The Woppits performances are open to all.
