October 6th is going to be an epic day at HOBT: two TaDa Saturday morning matinees, a birthday party, and Bread & Puppet: The Grasshopper Rebellion Circus.
With so many puppeteers in one place, what’s one more performance after a 12 hour day at the theatre? We’re about to find out. HOBT & friends present:
Puppet Cabaret: Akiko vs the Puppetry Community
Akiko is back as your Puppet Cabaret MC, with the help of co-MC Maren Ward, ready to keep the exhausted puppeteers in shape and running on time. You’re in for a treat: an evening of new, short, experimental, weird, borderline ‘artistic’ puppet acts featuring HOBT, Barebones, Bread & Puppet, and more.
Truly anything could happen in this special edition of Puppet Cabaret. As always, adult content may arise; consider yourselves warned.

Join us in supporting our neighbors at the Franklin Hiawatha Encampment. The encampment is just blocks from our theatre. These are our neighbors. We hope you will join us in supporting them. We’ll be collecting the following items at the performance: winter coats, mittens, hats – for women and men – and youth. We are coordinating with organizers from the encampment and will be updating this list as needs change.
