Imagine MayDay IBPOC Charrette

HOBT together with Imagine Deliver have been hosting a creative design process this summer to imagine and co-create what’s next for MayDay and HOBT through a series of Artist Charrettes — collaborative sessions in which a group of artists and creatives map solutions.

Understanding the value of and desire for a space where IBPOC artists can address issues of equity and accessibility as a caucus, we have added a 4th IBPOC charrette to the calendar.

Dameun Strange and Imagine Deliver, together with artist organizers from the community, will curate a IBPOC-only space, centering the voices of indigenous, Black and artists of color to map solutions and act as a launch pad for the creation of an Imagine MayDay Transition Team.

Artist participants will be compensated for their time and contributions with either 3 hours of free rehearsal or workshop space at HOBT, or a $40 gift card to either Welna Hardware, MayDay Cafe, or the People’s Movement Center.
