A Puppet Walks into a Bar: Live Music + Movies!

In the Heart of the Beast

In the Heart of the Beast is getting a bar in the lobby! But since we are puppeteers, and not natural bartenders, we’re having two super fun “test-run” events, curated by Site Director Steve Ackerman and Communications Coordinator Meg Walsh, to help turn Silvano Aguilar (our new Bar Manager) into a true beer and wine-slinging professional. Help us get the hang of this new addition to the Theater, while hanging out with friends, neighbors, and probably some puppets.

Both events will be in the downstairs lobby — we’ll embrace the space and get cozy against the winter chill and darkness.

Saturday, January 13; 7-10pm: Free live music and HOBT movies projected on the walls of the lobby.
Saturday, January 20; 7-10pm: A mini Puppet Cabaret curated by Akiko Ostlund and Steve Ackerman. $5-7 sliding scale at the door.

Saturday, January 13; 7-10pm
Free and open to the public

Join us for the debut of HOBT’s new bar! We’ll have an assortment of beer and wine for purchase, live bands playing in the lobby all night, and historic HOBT movies projected onto the walls. It’ll be just like hanging out at your favorite neighborhood bar… but with puppets.
