A live stage spectacle, based on the Emmy award winning children’s TV show Beakman’s World (now back on the air in syndication). The show features large scale, wacky science demos with plenty of audience participation and trademark goofy humor, as Beakman (Paul Zaloom) dazzles and amazes with a series of death defying and belief suspending demonstrations of intriguing scientific principles.

Wickedly funny puppeteer and political satirist Paul Zaloom and his cohort the renowned nightclub puppeteer Lynn Jeffries, pack a wallop with their newest work of jumbo toy theater, The Abecedarium A to Z.
Zaloom’s bawdy gender-bending take on the old Punch and Judy shtick, The Punch and Jimmy Show, rounds out an evening of funny and irreverent adult puppet theater guaranteed to make you think twice about, well, just about everything.

Workshops - Oct 25-26
Shadow Puppets
with Lynn Jeffries
Come make shadow puppets with master builder Lynn Jeffries. A workshop for adults who want to know how to make a shadow puppet that really works and is beautiful to look at. Lynn will lead each participant through the design and construction of an original shadow puppet. You’ll also receive Lynn’s 22-page handbook on materials and techniques.

A Theater of Trash
with Paul Zaloom
With a focus on improvisation, free association, humor, child’s play as process and the nature of objects each participant is asked to bring a minimum of six objects each - toys, appliances, packaging materials, tools and other ordinary or extraordinary rubbish to the workshop. After a short discussion of object theater, Zaloom invites each person to operate the assembled junk as puppets in ad libbed performance events.
